When Muslims in Bangladesh scream “kill all the infidels”, it is not clear if they mean all non-Muslims in the world or “just” the 15 million non-Muslims in India, of which 1.1 million are Buddhists.

“Barnabas Aid has received requests for prayer and practical help from Christian leaders in Bangladesh as the Church is endangered by a violent uprising by Islamists who are demanding that the country become an Islamic state. … Jama’at-e-Islami (JI), the largest Islamist political party in Bangladesh, has threatened to ‘kill all the Malauns [infidels]‘. Muslims view Christians and other non-Muslims as ‘infidels’.”

“Six people, including a young child, have been killed in southern Thailand after a gun attack at a village shop, police say.

At least four gunmen fired bullets at the shop in Pattani province before escaping on motorbikes.

The attack comes days after a second round of peace talks between Muslim separatists and the Thai government.

More than 5,000 people have been killed since a separatist insurgency reignited in the Muslim-majority region in 2004.

A toddler was among those killed in the attack on Wednesday night. Another man was also injured, according to reports. All those killed were believed to be Buddhists.“

“Hundreds of members of radical Islamic groups on Friday called for “jihad in Myanmar” during rallies in front of the Myanmar embassy in Menteng, Jakarta, to protest growing violence against Rohingya Muslims.

‘It has been [going on for a] long [time], our brothers in Rohingya have been tortured by Myanmar military, Buddhist monks and Buddhist people in Myanmar. There is no other way for our Muslim brothers in Rohingya, we have to wage jihad,’ said Islamic Defender Front (FPI) chairman Rizieq Shihab during a protest at Hotel Indonesia traffic circle.

The FPI, along hundreds of members of the Islamic People Forum (FUI), Jamaah Ansharut Tauhid, Islamic Reformist Movement (Garis), Indonesian Committee for World Muslim Solidarity (Kisdi), Islamic Preaching Council (DDII), Indonesian Muslim Brotherhood Movement (GPMI) and Taruna Muslim (Muslim Youth), marched to the heavily guarded Myanmar embassy on Friday, brandishing banners that read ‘we want to kill Myanmar Buddhists‘ and ‘stop genocide in Myanmar.’”

“Police say suspected militants in Thailand’s insurgency-plagued south have detonated a motorcycle bomb that killed a 9-year-old boy and wounded 10 other people.

Police Col. Tuanday Juthanan said Thursday the insurgents hid an improvised bomb on a motorcycle near a commercial district in the city of Pattani and set it off during lunch break.”

Riots broke out in March 2013 after a dispute between a Muslim gold shop worker and a Buddhist costumer.

“A court in Burma has sentenced three Muslims to 14 years in jail for their role in communal violence that has left more than 40 dead.

The owner of a gold shop, his wife, and an employee, were convicted of theft and assault on Thursday, reports said. A dispute at the gold shop in Meiktila is thought to have triggered deadly clashes between Burma’s Muslim and Buddhist communities.

The violence spread to other towns and led to curfews being imposed. More than 12,000 Muslims have been displaced from their homes since the clashes began on 20 March. Whole Muslim neighbourhoods have been destroyed.

The row at the shop was said to have started over a gold hair clip. A fight broke out, and the store owner reportedly beat a Buddhist customer on the head. This was followed by an attack on a Buddhist monk, who died later in the town hospital.”

“Protesting against the rise in violence against minorities in Bangladesh, Hindus of Bangladeshi-origin have gathered outside the White House here, asking US President Barack Obama to protect them and enlist radical Jamat-e-Islami as a foreign terrorist group. … The peaceful protest rally was organised by the supported Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, with support from various other organisations like Hindu American Foundation and the Indian American Intellectual Forum.”

“Syrian Islamist have been attempting to smuggle Muslim extremists into Myanmar, a Syrian Islamist source told NOW. According to the source, ‘many attempts have been made to send Jihadists to Myanmar for the sake of our brothers.’

‘Contacts with Islamist groups in Pakistan, India and other surrounding countries are being made in order to facilitate their entry into Myanmar.’ The source, however, added that ‘these attempts have failed.’

Speaking to NOW, Salafist Sheikh Bilal al-Masri called on Muslims to attack Buddhists and their interests. ‘I decree that every person who can get to a Buddhist should kill him because they are killing our people and the Muslims cannot be blamed for their reaction.’

“Sectarian and ethnic tensions running high in Myanmar boiled over far outside the country’s borders Friday, when Buddhist fishermen and Muslim asylum seekers from the country brawled with knives and rocks at an Indonesian immigration detention center, leaving eight dead and another 15 injured. … ‘The violence took place so fast, and it was completely unexpected because they had been living peacefully here so far,’ Umardani said. ‘Most of the dead victims suffered severe head injuries. Eight Buddhists were killed, and 15 Rohingya were injured. Three other Buddhists escaped unharmed,’ Kiswanto said.”

“A group of 117 Rohingya refugees and 11 Buddhists accused of illegal fishing, all from Myanmar, were being held together in the same area of a government detention center in Belawan, a port city in North Sumatra Province, when fighting erupted just after midnight, said Herianto, a spokesman for Indonesia’s Department of Immigration in Jakarta. ‘There were eight fishermen killed…’”

Meanwhile the angry Buddhist crowd had followed some fleeing Muslims into the nearby mosque and burned the huge Saudi-built mosque down along with the Muslims inside. …

The dead monk was completely naked. The morgue staff was then sewing the gaping head wound back. When they looked close-up they sadly noticed the monk’s genital was completely chopped off (by the Muslims). …

(Burmese police has already caught four Muslims identified by many witnesses as the main culprits in killing of Monk U Thawbita, and they have now been charged with Act 302 – First Degree Murder – and the Chief-attorney of Mandalay Division has already declared that he would ask for death penalty by hanging if the four Muslims are found guilty as charged.)”
